About us

The Northern Ireland Badger Group is an entirely volunteer-led group working to promote the conservation, protection, welfare and better understanding of badgers.

We work in partnership with the USPCA to provide an effective coordinated approach around all aspects of badger protection and welfare. This includes our widely acclaimed Operation Brockwatch project and the campaign opposing badger culling in Northern Ireland. Read our booklet Dispelling the myths: Why badgers aren't to blame for bovine TB.

NIBG is affiliated to the Badger Trust who provide invaluable support for our work in Northern Ireland. Our outreach programme has been developed with the aid of a Clare Hammacott Grant from the Badger Trust.
